"Start early. Get your name out to everyone. Don't be afraid and think you are out of a particular school's 'league'; be persistent, for you may be surprised who might take an interest in you."

"Do your own research and start looking at schools early. Visit as many schools as you can "unofficially" to get aquainted to the college process (all schools give you a lot of good general info) or to rule them out. Fill out the prospective-student questionnaires on the athletic sites for schools. Coaches seem to see them right away. DON'T PICK YOUR SCHOOL BASED ONLY ON THE TEAM. If you get hurt or something early, you're stuck there. Get as many applications and essays done in the summer before senior year. You will be overwhelmed with official visits and missing school. It is very easy to get behind and colleges expect you to do well senior year (they do look at those grades!) GOOD LUCK !"
