beRecruited.com Honored on Alcatraz Island for Alcatraz 100 Swim Competition San Jose, California -

Ryan Spoon (2nd place overall, winner wetsuit
division), Jarrod Schwarz (7th place overall, 5th place wetsuit division) and
Team beRecruited.com (winning team) were honored for their success in the
Alcatraz 100 Swim competition with a permanent plaque placed on Alcatraz Island.
The plaque commemorates the top finishers in the Alcatraz 100 Swim Competition.
Team beRecruited.com had three representatives
in the Alcatraz 100 swim race held on September 18th.
beRecruited.com founder and former Duke
University swimmer, Ryan Spoon, placed 2nd overall with a time of 28:14.00 --
first in the wetsuit division.
beRecruited.com teammate Jarrod Schwarz placed
7th overall with a time of 31:21.00 -- 5th in the wetsuit division. Teammate
Stepheen Chang finished in a time of 49:17.00. There were over 300 competitors
overall.
Swimmers were boated to Alcatraz island in the San Francisco bay and raced to
shore inside Aquatic Park. The race was about 1.3 miles long and the water was
around 60 degrees in temperature. The Alcatraz 100 (www.alcatraz100.com) is an
annual event benefiting three great organizations of the San Francisco Bay Area,
Charlotte Maxwell Cancer clinics, The Marin Breast Cancer Watch and the Golden
Gate National Parks Conservancy.
