I forgot/lost my username.

Your username is usually the e-mail address you used to setup your account. If you try different emails and still aren't successful, contact us. When filling out the contact form please make sure to provide your name, your mailing address, and your birth date to verify that it is in fact your account.

I forgot/lost my password.

To retrieve your password simply go to our Password Retrieval page, enter your email address, and then click Get Password. An e-mail with your password will automatically be sent to your e-mail address that is associated with your account.

How do I change my login information - email and/or password?

You can easily change your login information by going to My Profile after logging into your account and then select the Preferences tab. For your safety, when changing your email or password you'll receive an e-mail alerting you that changes were made to your account.

Is the information I provide on beRecruited.com safe & secure?

Yes! beRecruited.com is committed to protecting your personal information and uses the lastest technologies to ensure its safety. We also have strict company policies that prohibits us from selling or distrubuting your information to any 3rd parties without your consent. Additionally, we give our athletes privacy controls which can be access by going to My Profile > Preferences so they can restrict access to their profile, photos, videos and blog posts to only registered college coaches and recruiters.

I'd like to delete my beRecruited.com account, how do I do it?

You can delete your beRecruited account anytime by going to My Profile after logging into your account and then select the Delete Account option on the right navigation bar. Please keep in mind that by deleting your account you forfeit any payments you have made on that account and will no longer have access to our suite of recruiting tools or the information you have provided us.

Does registering with beRecruited.com violate NCAA regulations?

Registering with beRecruited.com DOES NOT violate NCAA regulations. We urge all athletes and parents to read through and familiarize themselves with the NCAA regulations because there are a number of issues around accepting of gifts & money that are important to be aware of. Furthermore, there are regulations regarding contact made between athletes and coaches which you can read about but most of the burden here falls on the college coaches. What payment service does beRecruited.com use to accept credit cards and is it secure & safe?

beRecruited.com uses Verisign Payment Services, the leader in online transactions, for our credit card payment services. All beRecruited transactions occur in a secure environment (https) using the industry standard in data encryption. Rest assured, beRecruited is secured by a Verisign SSL certificate to ensure the safety of the payment information you provide.

I'm not comfortable paying online; are there other payment options?

For those uncomfortable with paying online, beRecruited allows you to submit payment to us via check or money order. To do so, simply make the check out for the amount of the account you wish to purchase and make sure to write the name of the athlete on the memo portion of the check. Why does it tell me that I haven't paid when I click on the Letters option?

No coaches have bookmarked me, what does this mean?

Don't worry if no coaches have bookmarked you yet! This isn't necessarily an indication that coaches aren't interested since many choose to follow athletes with other methods. Additionally, many coaches only bookmark those athletes who have already completed their junior year of high school. Not being bookmarked doesn't mean that coaches aren't watching or tracking your progress! Coaches have a variety of other techniques to monitor potential recruits -- saving profiles, printing profiles, using automatic notifications, creating recruit databases, etc. If you have already started your senior year and haven't been bookmarked it's time to get proactive! Use our Letters-of-Interest Generator to inform coaches of your interest - which is a great way to improve your chances of getting noticed!

I noticed that I have some coaches that have me bookmarked, what does this mean?

Congratulations! It's always exciting to see that you've been bookmarked by an NCAA coach because it means that a team is interested in your academic and athletic abilities. Am I able to update my profile? If so, how?

beRecruited.com encourages users to update their profile as often as possible. It's easy to do and will attract attention from coaches. Simply login to beRecruited.com and click on My Profile.

I'm having difficulty uploading my picture and/or movie clips - why?

Depending on your internet connection speed, uploading files (pictures or movies) can take a little bit of time. Please be patient. If you continue to have difficulty using these features contact us and we will work on a way to get uploading working for you!

How can I notify coaches of my interest in their program?

beRecruited.com's Letters-of-Interest Generator enables all users to notify coaches quickly & easily of their interest. This tool allows users send custom tailored letters of interest to coaches that contains pertinent information regarding your academic and athletic ability. Furthermore, athletes are able to choose from a variety of letters to submit to coaches so you can find the one that best expresses your sentiments. My scores & stats do my abilities justice, how can I show my true talents to coaches.

beRecruited.com offers several opportunities for you to enhance your profile. First, make sure to fill out your profile thoroughly with complete descriptions in the Additional Information areas. This is a great opportunity to convey your talent, potential, desire, etc. Additionally, uploading photos and movies of yourself in action is an excellent way to make your skills and technique tangible for coaches to see. How can I let coaches know about my recent game results and/or articles about me in my local newspaper?

The best way to inform coaches of your recent results and/or achievements is by using beRecruited Blogs and beRecruited News. Add a new post to your beRecruited Blog to let coaches know about how recent results, how your season is going, or how you're doing in practice. Otherwise, if you simply want to provide a link to the article on another website you should submit it on beRecruited News. Anything you post in either of these sections of our site will not only be added under the News tab of profile but also will be instantly delivered to prospective coaches.

How do I add my picture to my profile?

Adding your picture to your profile is very easy! Just click on the picture where the photo should be on your beRecruited homepage and it will take you to the photo upload form. Then all you have to do is select a picture from your computer and click "Upload" and you'll be all set.

Does registering with beRecruited.com violate NCAA regulations?

Registering with beRecruited.com DOES NOT violate NCAA regulations. As a college coach you should be familar with the NCAA regulations that govern your divisions recruiting efforts. The same rules that govern your normal recruiting activities also apply to our service so please keep them in mind before contacting a potential recruit. There are several coaches on my staff; can multiple coaches from the same college program register with beRecruited.com?

Yes! Signing up your whole staff only takes a couple steps. First, one coach needs to register as a college coach and create a personal and team profile for your athletic program. Once this is done the other members of your staff need to each go sign up for their own coach account and create a personal profile. After they create a personal profile they will be taken to a page to either select or create a team profile. For all subsequent coaches they only have to select the team profile from a pull down menu. This gives each member of your staff their own personal beRecruited.com coach account but all of the coaches on your staff can add to and update your team profile at any time.

I'm having difficulty creating a team profile - how do I do it?

To create your team profile simply go to My Profile after logging into your account and then select the Team tab. Check the pull down menu to make sure that another coach on your staff hasn't already created a school profile and if not fill out the short form to create a new team profile. If you continue to have problems you can contact us and let us know where you are running into problems.

How to I search for athletes?

Searching for athletes in your sport is quick and easy. Simply login to your account and go to Search. Then fill out the search form to find athletes that match your criteria, keep in mind that you can leave any fields blank that you wish. Your search will return all the athletes that meet your criteria. You can learn more about an athlete by clicking on their name which will open their profile with more detailed information. If you are interested in an athlete or want to follow their progress make sure to bookmark them by clicking the Bookmark link at the top of the athlete's profile. Bookmarks can then be accessed via your beRecruited homepage which gives you one click access to each bookmarked athlete's comprehensive profile.

Is there a way for me to find out about new athletes that register with beRecruited.com?

Yes! beRecruited.com's award winning Automatic Notification System enables coaches to receive instant, email notifications of all athletes who register that meet your criteria. Once a qualified athlete registers that meets your team's needs, you will receive an email alert informing you of the new athlete and providing you with a link to view their profile. To add or update your notification settings, simply login to your account and click on Notifications option.

I didn't create my team profile when I first signed up, can I create it now?

I'm not only a college coach, but I also run a camp for high school athletes; can beRecruited.com help me reach all the athletes from my sport, in my area?

beRecruited.com's camp directory is an excellent medium to promote your camp to our user-base of more than 100,000 high school athletes and their families. To register your camp you will need to provide us with you camp's details which will then be immediately available to our athletes. In return for this free advertising we only ask that you distribute beRecruited.com flyers in your camper welcome packet which we will send to you via regular mail. Register your camp now!

What guarantees do I have that all the information the athletes provide is accurate and truthful?

There is no guarantee that the information is entirely accurate. However, beRecruited.com attempts to confirm any suspicious profiles or data and we have feedback mechanisms to allow our community of college coaches to help report any potentially fradulent information. Because our athlete realize this information is being seen directly by college coaches and will need to be verified by their high school or club coach, it's to their advantage to remain truthful. Historically, beRecruited has had very little trouble with inaccurate information; and we continue to work diligently to remove any occurrences of this sort. We encourage you to contact the athletes' high school and/or club coaches to not only verify their information but to learn more about the athlete.
