I have never been that great of a runner. I always was right in the middle of cross country and track. I was good but couldn't ever stand out. Going into my senior year there were no college coaches looking at me. Through out the XC season, no coaches knew who I was. One morning before practice my coach called me into the office and told me he has found a website I need to register for. So after that morning's practice I go into the office and on the computer is www.berecruited.com. At first I thought this was some stupid thing, but my coach made me sign up for it anyways since it was free. I registered and...within 3 days I got a call on my cell phone from a coach in Ohio that saw my profile. Next thing I know I am getting calls and letters at least once a week - sometimes every day from college coaches. Now here I am in the spring, a month and a half away from graduation and I have signed my letter of intent. I am going to be a college athlete! 

beRecruited opened doors for my choice of swimming at a college in ways I could not have imagined. Many colleges contacted me and I had an opportunity to research each school before making a decision to pursue that avenue or turn them down. I highly recommend any high school athlete who wishes to participate in college sports to sign up!

I was really worried about not finding a college soccer team that I could play for because I started looking too late. I found the web site of beRecruited.com and I signed up for it. I was recruited for swimming by Washington and Lee University. Two summers in a row I was operated on for a bone tumor in my left leg. My times were not current and many coaches did not look beyond that except for Washington and Lee. I cannot help but believe that his encouragement and recruiting tactics helped my rehab. I am swimming my best times ever and I will attend W & L in the fall. If not for beRecruited, I am not sure I would have gone there to interview!

My success story starts out with a trip to beRecruited.com. I'm from a little town on Vancouver Island that has only had lacrosse for 8 years and only field for 2. So after playing field and loving the game and see and hearing about players that went on to bigger things with lacrosse in the states, I found myself searching for a website to help me out, and I found it. I registered about 8 months ago and had little success for the longest time, then one day I was sitting on my friend's computer and I got an e-mail from a guy asking about me going to his school to play lacrosse. So I e-mailed him back and said yes I'm very interested, then the next day I got an e-mail back saying he was excited about my response...
