Answer to Your Questions

What happens if I get injured?

No, a school can not take back a scholarship because of an injury.  But keep in mind that scholarships are only for one year.  Presumably, an athlete would be healed and able to compete the following season.  But if for some reason the injury kept an athlete sidelined indefinitely, it would be the decision of the coach and athletic program how to proceed from there.

An athletic scholarship can be taken back if a student-athlete can't meet academic criteria, or if they are caught engaging in inappropriate behavior (drugs, illegal activity, etc.). If it's an athletic scholarship, you forfeit it. You must be participating in the athletic program to keep an athletic scholarship.
