What happens to my scholarship if I quit the team?

If it's an athletic scholarship, you forfeit it. You must be participating in the athletic program to keep an athletic scholarship.

But if it's an academic or merit scholarship, you keep it as long as you meet the academic requirements spelled out by your specific scholarship. You do not need to be completing in an athletic program to keep an academic scholarship.
