2017 - Baseball Northwest Northwest Championships, Oregon Metro Team.
2017 - Idaho Baseball Academy, College Prospect Tournament Team, Starting SS and RHP.
I'm the starting varsity SS and RHP for Canby High in Canby, Oregon (class 2018) which is just outside of Portland, Oregon. They're in the 6A Three Rivers Conference which is the top high school baseball conference in Oregon.
I also play SS for Mound Time Baseball Club's college prospect team in Hillsboro, Oregon and MIF and RHP for the Idaho Baseball Academy's tournament team in Boise, Idaho.
I have recognition and connections with some of the top baseball coaches in Oregon and Idaho. In addition to my high school and college prospect teams, I also train with a private batting and position coach as well as a speed and agility trainer.
I'm confident that my past and present coaches will tell you that I create few errors that can drag a team down. I'd like to play for a college team that emphasizes a strong infield defense that does not easily tolerate errors. You may contact me at 503.806.0121 or by email at AlecHopkins.email@example.com.
College baseball will better me for the teamwork and leadership skills that I'll take with me after I graduate from college. Also, the memories of playing college baseball will be special and long-lasting.
On the field, I give my best effort, support my coaches, and befriend all teammates. Although I'm a varsity-level player, I have personally worked with JV players on and off the field to help improve their fielding. Frankly, it's pretty easy to offer help to others when you have a baseball workout facility in your garage and everyone wants to come over to use it.
I take care of my body with constant stretching, personal workouts, eating as healthy as can be reasonably expected, and not being tempted by drugs or alcohol. My mom is a certified aerobics and yoga instructor so I get a lot of family support regarding living a healthy lifestyle.
For the last 4 years, I have never turned down a request to help train little league players in my local community of Canby, Oregon. It's fun and the kids are always appreciative. Also, when I help them, it's real for them. They see what they have to look forward to that's just around the corner for them in baseball.
