I want to be recruited to play soccer in college because my team is the most important thing to me. Being part of a team means I can count on any and every girl on my team, on and off the field. They are the closest friends I will ever have, and I have shared my most laughs with them. Besides my team, the sport is just so amazing and invigorating. The feeling of stopping an attacker over and over again and playing great balls to my midfielders and forwards gives me a joy and feeling of success like no other.
On the field, I always communicate with my teammates whether other people are or not. Off the field, I lead all my group projects to success by planning who does what and always triple checking everyone's work.
I pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete because I work extremely hard in school, and soccer is my place to forget about all the difficult school work and escape to my happy place. I put my all into every practice and game because I know it will pay off if I have the incredible opportunity to play college soccer.
I am involved in service in my community because I do plenty of volunteer work. For example, I recently collected soccer equipment from my neighbors and my community. I gathered over 500 articles. I then donated them to an organization at USC, which works with the US Soccer Donation Foundation. This equipment is then distributed to kids who cannot afford the equipment needed to play the game they love.
