Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have a passion for swimming and I would love to pursue that throughout my college career. I feel that being a part of a coleege team would teach me skills I would be able to use for the rest if my life.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am currently a volunteer swim coach for young children in my community. I feel that being a positive role model is key to being a good leader.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I do a combination of training, practice, nutrition and meditation to keep me balanced both physically and mentally for healthy athletic performance.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I was a volunteer this year for my local congressman's campaign. I worked the call center and walked precincts for 3 months because the issues he was running on including water rights for our local farmers were very important to me. I am also a volunteer swim coach for young children. I live in an area with a high gang crime rate and I believe if we can gets kids involved in sports at a young age we can prevent them from getting in trouble in the future.
