Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have a passion for both football and track. I love to run which is why I believe my coaches selected me as running back. I have also played corner back and defensive back. For track and field, I have competed as a freshman in the 100m; 200m; and the 4x100 relay. My time has been 12.00h in the 100m as a freshman starter. I also won 3rd place in the Rio Hondo League Championships.

I am determined and committed and will give my very best in what team I am selected to play with.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

My role as a leader at school is to always encourage my friends to continue their education and never give up no matter what hurdles come your way. I am one of the captions of the JV Football team and encourage every one of my teammates to give it their best on the football field and to support one another.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Every morning, I have weights for my 0 period class at school and after school practice for almost 3 hours everyday. During summer, the only break we had from football was a 3 week dead period. I am very committed to eating healthy and my mom makes sure to incorporate salad into my meals everyday. During the weekends, either I'm outside playing football with my brother or at a park practicing. I have fresh fruit smoothies or a glass of milk every morning. I try and stay away from junk food cause I know it's not part of a good healthy diet as a runner.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

So far, I have begun volunteering with the Pasadena Humane Society because I love animals and want to make sure that each and every one of them gets adopted. I want to do my part for the Humane Society as a volunteer because I believe that animals deserve a loving home and family that adores them. I personally have a rescue myself and she is the best thing that has happened to our family.
