Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Playing sports has always kept me motivated to better myself whether it be in or out of the boat. Being involved in sports has also kept me very organized and determined in academics. Therefore, it is important for me to be recruited to play sports in college to help work towards being successful.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue Healthy Athletic Performance both physically and mentally. Physically, I take care of my body before and after a grueling workout. I pay attention to what I eat and make sure it is giving me enough nutritious value. Finally I think it is very important for me to get a healthy amount of sleep to be able to properly function throughout school and practice. Mentally, I focus on being at least 1% better than I was the day before. My teammates and I view our team as a diamond, therefore we try our best to push each other to the top of the diamond with healthy competition. Although the goal is to reach the top, my team and I realize that the bottom half of the diamond is just as important in making a team successful.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
