Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I very much enjoy rowing and winning and the camaraderie that goes with that. I know that will enhance my college experience.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I show leadership through-out my life in everything I do. I am a Member of the National Honor Society, French Honor Society, History Honor Society and so much more. I am honored to be a confidant to my friends and boat mates. I am a person to which you can turn just for listening or for encouragement.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am extremely careful of my food intake and have particular eating habits. Between swimming, dancing and rowing, I am exercising 6-7 hours a day at least 6 days a week, I have to eat well to maintain my strength.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I continue to serve my Community in many ways. I am a Silver Girl Scout and have done everything from working with the elderly to make crafts, etc., to helping to raise money and items for the dog pound, to helping create a fence for the Community Garden (which supplies fresh vegetables to the Food Bank) to dancing for the elderly. Through my Church, I have served the homeless, made pies for the food bank, served food to the elderly as well as worked within the congregation helping our elderly (like washing cars and caroling). I also went for a week to Washington DC to rebuild homes in disrepair for those who could not. Through the Children of the American Revolution I have supported the less fortunate 'Mountain Schools" and done several projects for "Kids helping Kids" like making Easter baskets for the under -privileged and making birthday boxes for a Women's shelter in addition to raising donations for veterans and many other projects. I have also volunteered at an International Camp working in the kitchen and helped children to learn of their heritage.
