To pursue a "healthy athletic performance," I spend time making sure I eat right by using an individualized nutritional plan from St Vincent’s Sports Performance. Injury prevention is a key component to a healthy athlete, so I do a daily preventative maintenance program and work 1:1 with a PT trainer, sleep a minimum of 8 hours a night and stay well hydrated. A balanced life is essential for a long term career, I’m active in my church, play the violin, and rescue North Atlantic Puffins!
For the past 8 years from Aug 12-25 I have had the privilege of volunteering with the Canadian Parks and Wildlife Society Newfoundland chapter, Puffin and Petrel division.
My responsibilities have increased over the years and include: media interviews, boat tour guide, public beach information sessions, data entry, weighing and wing measurement, and bird handling.
This program has released thousands of rescued North Atlantic Puffins listed as vulnerable by IUCN Red List.
Please contact me for further information- especially if you would like to participate!
