Rowing Honors

I received most improved rower as a freshman as well as a varsity letter, and attended SRAA nationals as a freshman in the woman’s varsity 8; one out of two freshman selected. This year, as a sophomore, I stroked the varsity 8 at the 2019 SRAA national regatta in Lake Dillon. I was invited to be apart of the u17 Olympic Development Program through USRowing in Sarasota, Florida where I trained for a month over the summer. In November 2019, I will be competing in the USRowing Regional Challenge for the u17 SouthWest team.

Rowing Additional

I have been seated everywhere from stroke seat to bow seat and can row on either starboard or port! I really love stroking and have been doing it a lot lately.

Personal Highlights

I have been awarded 1st honors. I am a member of the National Honor Society at my school and I am an Options mentor for a freshman named Robin who has autism, I get to spend a class period with him each day, helping him take notes and other things. I am also a member of MADCAPS (mother’s and daughters clubs assisting philanthropies), a philanthropic organization I have done alongside my mom and sister since 6th grade, where I offer my service for people in need and create a benefit show with friends from my neighborhood also in the organization. I love dogs, to write, draw, and make people laugh. I have played both beach and indoor volleyball since 5th grade and decided to start rowing as a freshman at my high school because my dad rowed in college as a walk on at USD and turned out to be actually pretty good. He was 6’4 and held the erg record at USD, and also was invited to be a member of the US national team. When I was six years old he passed away from lung cancer.
