Pole Vault PR- 12'6

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I really enjoy the sport of pole vault, and want to further my athletic and academic career. Pole vault is not like any sport. It's very challenging, but thrilling, and shows me how to be passionate about something that I am so dedicated to. I also would have a chance to meet other people who also would balance an academic and athletic career. Playing a sport in college could teach me many things. For example, a good work ethic and how to prioritize my time.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have shown leadership through being involved in many clubs at my school. For instance, being in "Link Crew" taught me how to teach others how to cope and adapt to something new. "National Honor Society" showed me how I could help others in many different ways by volunteering.

In a sports environment, I have aided underclassmen in understanding the concept of pole vault. Starting out in pole vault can be nerve-racking for some people, so I feel that helping them with drills, and other preparation would be beneficial.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I feel that in order to perform the way you want in any sport, then you have to take the right measures to stay healthy. For example, getting the right amount of sleep and eating the right kind of foods. I have done lots of research to help improve my athletic ability in a healthy and safe way.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in many clubs at my school.

Link Crew- We are assigned to watch over a group of freshman throughout their first year of high school. We arrange freshman orientation, to make them prepared and ready for high school. This shows me good leadership skills, which will help me in the future.

National Honor Society- We volunteer and serve others, along with helping the community. Volunteering gives me new opportunities to experience new things.

Voft- We volunteer and serve others, along with helping charities by hosting fundraisers at our school.
