Personal Highlights

In addition to being a coxswain, I am a professionally trained vocalist and musician. I play piano, guitar, bass, and drums. I have been a member of the renowned National Children's Chorus since the age of 7, and have been in their top 'Scholars' division for the last three years. I have had the opportunity to have performed with them at various venues including St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Hall, Lincoln Center, Paramount Studios, The Sheldonian Theatre at Oxford University, The Broad Stage, and Royce Hall at UCLA. Singing in multiple foreign languages in locations around the world has broadened my cultural perspective and enabled me to form meaningful bonds through music.

Although I am not yet old enough to vote, I believe it is my responsibility to become educated on societal issues and proactively foster public discourse. Therefore, I became a trained peer educator for Change the Talk, a non-profit organization that conducts workshops about sexual violence and consent.

Additionally, I contribute to the interchange of ideas through being a writer. I have had articles published in various Harvard-Westlake magazines, including most notably one on chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) as well as an excerpt from a speech I gave for an all-school assembly in the wake of the national wave of school shootings.
